FACEBOOK/BRANDONSTRKR The 90's in terms of dancehall music will be remembered for the rise and dominance of artiste such as Beenie Man, Buju Banton & Bounty Killer, producers like Dave Kelly, Jeremy Harding amongst others. There was no Gully or Gaza instead we had the Scare Dem Crew consisting of a young Elephant Man, Harry Toddler etc, Monsta Shak with Ghost, General B & Roundhead, Main Street, Innocent Crew etc.. The elder dancehall heads such as Shabba & Supercat was also stapes of the 90's dancehall. We saw the beginnings of the careers of some future hit makers like Mr. Vegas & Sean Paul. Red Rat also had a string of hit songs along with his Main Street label mates like General Degree, Buccaneer and Goofy. In terms of clashing the 90's will probably be most remembered for the on then off then on again lyrical war between Beenie Man & Bounty Killer. Special mention goes to artist like Terror Fabulous, Spragga Benz, Frisco Kid, Mad Cobra, Wayne Wonder and Merciless who all had notable songs. As far as females in dancehall Lady Saw was the undisputed queen but artist such as Patra, Tanya Stephens and Lady G all had there moments as well This mix features almost all of the artist mentioned above it touches on the different periods in the 90's...hope you enjoy!
