I dont think they live a monastic way of life. To me worldy is getting caught up in the political, immoral, etc affairs of life.

There's a difference between not engaging in any technology (which is a completely futile exercise), and not woshiping technology, putting technology/material over humanity, etc. That's where some of this confusion lies. While certain people within the faith may believe in the former, you can't paint all Rasta this way. You could however paint all Ras with the latter belief.

In this day and age, technology is all over the place. Living in the U.S of A, you are surrounded by it. Technology does not go against our beliefs. If you let it over rule your life, thats when its a problem. There is a time and place for everything.

We are rebels sweetheart. So living life like the Amish is not our cup of tea. We are all about breaking through barriers in the modern day world, yet still being as humble as we can. We are for advancement of our people.
