The first "Music Summit" of the Caribbean Recording Industry Association is set for Antigua November 12-14, 2010.

Some of the speakers are already in place and some of the artists that will be performing under "Caribbean Brightest Stars" segment of the show has already been named.

Mr. Jeff Timmons the founding member of the group 98 Degrees, the group went on to produce multi-platinum records that sold 11 million copies with 8 top ten singles and a Grammy nomination.
Ms. Hilda Willis is an actress, writer, vocalist and director. She made her directing debut in the Antilles; by 1990 she had co-written and directed two musicals.
Mr. Joseph A. Johnson is a former Executive Producer/Host of Boston’s first commercial Caribbean music radio program on 1090AM WILD. He is the president and founder of CARAS, Inc (Caribbean Recording Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences) and Triple J. Communications.
Mr. Aubry Padmore of Caribvoice Radio an internet based radio station in Atlanta; he is an author, speaker and radio personality

Of over 250 requests for performance slots, more than 85% are from reggae artists. So our question is where are the soca artist? calypso artist? zouk artists etc?

We already have verbal agreements with some of the headliners, but until the i's &t's are dotted we can't release their names until mid Sept.

Check out the website for more information on the festival & Conference. More artists to be added next week.
