Impulse, Lady Saw in duet

Former IMIX POSTER Child

Denise “Saucy Wow” Belfon and Elephant Man in a duet, as well as a collaboration between Impulse and Lady Saw.

These are only two of a series of singles soon to be released in the United States by the New York recording label Legendary Records, a successful, independent label founded by Jamaican Junior Burton.

The releases represent part of a project entitled Now One, in which Burton and his production team are attempting to establish soca music on international charts by piggy-backing it on reggae-dancehall, which has already made it to number one on the Billboard Charts.

Burton launched the Now One project yesterday at the Caribbean Sound Basin Studios, Maraval. He originally intended to launch via a concert today at the Queen’s Park Savannah, but that has been postponed until December 7.

Burton postponed the event, which would have featured the likes of Red Rat, Lady Saw, Belfon, Impulse and others, because he wanted more time to prepare a spectacular event that would present the merger of genres in the best way possible.
