What do call a Person . . . . . . .

Who does not know how to deal with their own people?

I work with this woman who is African American. They've put this woman into a role of leadership and management, however she's clearly bothered by having to interact with people of color.

It's like she clams up and makes no type of effort to communicate with people of color, however when it comes to white people, she's as friendly and accommodating as possible, almost to the point where she's seen by some as being an opportunist, ready to look out for herself rather than work those around her.

To add to the level of disdain people have for her in this office, she's gotten three people fired (all of them people of color) without any attempt of replacing there work effort or tasks after they've been gone for two months now.

Her Meyer-Briggs designation is Passive-Aggressive personality type, but I'm looking for a clinical terminology for someone like this.

Any help or suggestions as to where I could get this information?

Dont know the clinical term...other than crazy. BUt that rewminds me of a fellow I went to law school with. He was one of the three of us in our first year section of more than a hundred people. He never talked to me or any of the other blacks. never went to BLSA meetings or anything. Three years and not a word....we used to call him "The Mute"

Ironically enough, we are 2 of the only blk students who stayed in the same neighborhood, which is predominantly white and I see this ass at the gym several times a week and he still doesnt speak...

Go figure

It's so sad too. I mean, when she first came here to my job, I actually looked forward to learning from her, however she has made it impossible to even have an open dialouge about it. I even called her on it once and she was the facking worse!!!!!

I stopped another employer from straight decking her in the fack not too long ago She's gotten the other three people of color on my team fired. She even tried to get rid of me, but the sneaky and underhanded (i.e. passive-agressive) tactics made her look bad.

One Psychologist told me that she lacks the emotional intelligence to connect with her employees in a productive fashion. That may explain one part of it, but it still doesn't explain how she interacts with people of color.

call her an Aunt Toni scheeuppesss, she definitely have issues. I never knew there was a clinical term for such behavior, but I would like to know. The thing is, a lot of African Americans who behave like that, are the one who grew up real poor and as they reach somewhere, it's like they automatically forget where they come from. But like I always say, never burn bridges in life. You never know who you may need as you go further down the road.

You know what though, I thought it wouldn've been the opposite. I tend to see this a lot in people of color who do not grow up around other peoples of color. Those types tend to either distance themselves from others like them (which I beleive may be her case) or go all the way to the other specrtum and try to overcompensate with there actions.

But what is the point? I find it hard to accept that though, but i'm sure it's possible. I always sit and wonder what does be going through some black folks minds yuh know. Some of us can't be that brainwashed and dense to see that we've gotta stick together. ALL the other races seem to do it fine, and they too have been through their share of hardships, but why are we continuing to oppress each other is beyond me.

Well, think about this:

Some white peoples only exposure to peoples of color is what they see on television and what they read in the newspapers. It could be said that there are some people of color who exist in a world where there only exposure to others like them is through the media (which gives the most skewd repesentation of us possible).

This could in turn enforce sterotypes that people bring to the workplace thinking it to be true, which would cause a person to react the way she does.

this could be very well true.

the scorprio that you are, I know you can sense when someone's up to something. I get that vibe from her ever facking day!!!! , which makes it very hard to work with someone like that.
