Voting Rights Act
Hey, Africans have voting rights for another 25 years. After 2031, who knows? I guess “so-called Afro-Americans” aren’t fully “American”. The status has to be continually debated and renewed.
…and it doesn’t hurt for a Good 'Ole Boy to have a nice “photo op” at the event either! Excerpt: President Bush on Thursday signed legislation extending for 25 years the Voting Rights Act, the historic 1965 law which opened polls to millions of black Americans by outlawing racist voting practices in the South.
