Fellas going to school at UWI to get a Big degree so dey could migrate an go wuk for a Yankee Pan Tuning Factory.

2 things 1.why was pan never standardize? and 2. why didn't the government of trinidad and tobago (along wit some other caribbean governments) invest in creating steelpan manufacturing companies?
these governments would give all these outside investors all kinda tax breaks and give aways who hardly invest in the islands anyways but they(government) don't invest in the people and the culture or if they do its juss crumbs...sad

The REASON why NONE of those things were done by the T&T Government, you have to go back to the whole system of Education and why we were brought to that area in the first place.............

(1) To serve Massa

(2) To serve Colonial Interests

(3) After Independence to provide skilled workers who WILL SERVE in the Interest of 4rain Corporations and Governments.

Development of Local Culture was left in the hands of a few Cultural Nationalists..........

Ah just wanna know if ah trini could sell ah pan in trini fuh US$5000 (TT$30, 000)??? I don't think that will fly. That being said, Trinmidad should tap into that market. If steel pan has that high demand, we should be mass producing and exporting product. Another thing, alyuh know ah whiteman copyright how to make ah pan. Alyuh should be more upset over that.
