Spinoff Thread:Alternative Music Interracial Relationships, Adoptions and Stereotype

I know the title is a mouthful, but it's regarding a scenario that occured recently with me and a friend of mine. I created a thread about alternative music and black people not to long ago and the underpromotion of it. My friend whom I attend some alternative music/rock events with sometimes had to cut off a friend of hers and that friends mother.

This ties into stereotypes. My friend who is black(from West Africa) has a white friend who is dating a black(Jamaican) male. She feels that my friend acts white due to the music she listens to, the way she speaks and how she presents herself. This white girl tries to speak 'black' dress with a 'black' style and is heavy into reggae and hip hop. She also feels she's being more 'black' by keeping and untidy place that smells like weed.

The mother hates that her daughter is dating a black/Jamaican,and is always discussing her daughter with my friend and she wishers her daugher behaved more like my friend. The mother told my friend that she seems different than avg black person just because she speaks intelligently with basic english(no slang), listens to hard rock and alternative, and has a hobby off collecting plants and heavy into horticulure(goes to horticultural exhibits frequently) and thought my friend would be into dating white men. On top of that the mother goes as far as to tell my friend(a black African female) that she shouldn't date black men and she's too good for them. She says black men are disrespectful, over aggressive, abuse women, and are always stay in trouble. The mother went so far as to try to hook her up with a white guy basically forcing the guy on her(not knowing or simply ignoring the fact my friend dates strictly black men, mostly from her culture if not a similar one).
After telling the mother she took offense to her views and also that she is not into dating white men, she basically cut off interaction with them. To make matters worse, this woman has adopted and is raising 3 young black girls.
