Should we feel guilty if we benifit from other people sufferings?

I have been pondering this question ever since yesturdays post about Puffy and his clothes being made in sweat shops. Now i am not saying we should boycott any and every clothing manufacturer because they use cheap labor in another land because if we were to do that, we would go naked. Living in the United States of America means we are always benifitting in some way shape or form from the hardships of people around the world, from the food we eat, to the gas we use to heat up our foods, to the clothes we wear on our backs. No matter how you want to explain it, our government exploits and the benifits trickle down to us (even though by the time it reaches the majority, the fat cats and robber barrons of these big coorporations have already looted and plundered most of the benifits).
Now in light of this, do you think it should be our responsibility to enlighten others of some of the sufferings and maybe do something to eliviate some of the sufferings that others around the world have to endure?

I think we should try to help others in what way we can. I mean I know u r not in the situation, but lets say it was u in the predicament wouldn't u like someone to help u out.

Yeah and all of dem does exploit people to make a lot of things that we consume in this damn country. But dem gon be on his case even more because he's a black business man.

But hey this is just one ooman's view, today is just a thought tomorrow is Deja vu
