We all know that the World's Super Power is the United States of America. But do yall think this should be so. Do yall think a Super Power should exist in this world? Is it fair for one nation to have as much influence over world affairs as the United States does

the problem w/ having a superpower (big brother) is what happens when the little brothers wanna get big too? at that point, the big bro's reaction outlines the future.

Maybe we should first define 'super power'. What makes that particular category? Is it an economical thing? A military strength? Size of population? Geographical size? Or is it a combination of it all?
America has that combination. And somehow, he who has that might imposes will upon the unmighty. Problem is that other countries don't have the combination and the UN is a puppet.
To answer your question, it should not be so but with the UN so dependent on the US for economical and political support they tend to lend a bigger ear to US demands.
I don't think this will change but the Arabs sure are trying!

Don't know that the world 'needs' a superpower...but it sure is nice to have some muscle to back the UN at times when the other members of the security council are prone to paralysis because of vetos on the part of China, France Russia etc. I don't agree with 95% of Bush's policies...but this administration aside, the US' role is indispensable.
