If your child/ren FATHER/MOTHER is CRIMINAL???
I am wondering, if you have a parent that was locked up for some type of criminal charges...Do one worry as to whether that child/ren may have those same tendancies as that parent???? I say parent because it may be either father/mother
For example..there is a father that might be locked up for rape, drug possession and more "stuff"..this father has a son, is there some worry in store for that mother...is that child more likely to be JUST as that father...Can any imixer offer medical evidence that may suggest this to have some truth? Just a thought??? |

Nature Vs Nurture
If a child is constantly seeing its parent in a violent state , then chances are they could end up following the parent it all , depends on the childs mental strength and the amount of influence the parent has on the child , but if the child has no contact with a violent parent there is no proof that there is a agression Gene that passes down,
A childs behaviour is a combination of both Nature and nurture Thank you *bows* |

I am curious. I have a colleague who tells me that a lady she knows has a 15 year old daughter that is locked up due to stabbing and doing other stuff"..This childs father is locked up for rape etc...this child's father was locked up for some time..this girl is ONLY 15..... I am just wondering ...it seems like there is some type of "DNA something" there....call me crazzy!!
Has anyone ever noticed or seen this occur? |

good job. as in my psy 100 class, that would be a valid answer. The child needs to mentally know right from wrong and separate themselves from the wrong doings of the parent. if there is not much negative influence from the parent, it can still happen, but is less likely. The environment plays a major role in such issues, with or without a criminal parent. it is solely the decision of the individual, but peer pressure is also a factor. |
