Good Vibrations
How do you relax? Lately I have not let anything bother me!!!! When my mom calls, sister or whomever I dont let their problems become my own. I do breathing exercises and laugh alot each day. Having a good man who puts up with my craziness helps too.
Oh, I paint and play tennis to express myself. How do you keep your inner child alive? How do you relax? |

u know what, a while a ago I could have given u a list now that seems like a life time ago. So stressed, however I'm working on it as of this week. One thing I can come up with, is this Class I'm taking, we meditate before class starts and after it ends. They thought us a few stress relieving techniques. Actually to think of it the classes are relaxing. I'm also starting yoga for stress.

Well this is the post I need to read today..... Today I went through some changes in my life that to some people they probably would've gone MAD!! For the past couple of months my life has been straight UPS and DOWNS!!!! But, I've just been trying to surround myself around POSITIVE people, music that speaks the TRUTH, and a lil LIME here and there to get me happy!!!
-I did the Yoga thing before and I would like to get back into that or dancing that's theraputic for the soul!! - MUSIC is a very big part in my life... Instead of listenin to rashidness, I've been making my selection w. riddims that get me going, lyrics that make the lil hair on my arm raise, and my waist and body swaying! -Books also keep my mind sane! Poetry and novels that makes me think and wonder beyond my existence! thanks Yannei for this! |

Presently I'm reading this book "Don't sweat the small stuff"by Richard Carlson.
The majority of the topics really made me think carefully of the way I approach certain situations in life and I see myself letting go of some things that was upsetting to me.......but I'm still working on a couple of the topics he has in the book. |

Empress u too, Sis been in the same boat, but I'm still hanging in there. I have this soothing song that I play that I found yesterday, " chorus: u let us knowwww, that we're not alone, let the peace of God flow within our soul/heart. Calms me, it on repeat.
Chocolate gonna get that book and read it. Stress has taken over my body. But hey guess we just have to deal. Empress u can share some of the poetry u read and books. I came across this cd that put u into meditation mode too. |

Calabash girl... I've recently re-introduced myself to the works of Khalil Gibran "The Prophet"... His poetry is like a train ride taking you somewhere.... To a land of realism....
Also some Nikki Giovanni and Sonia Sanchez.. two powerful sistahs of their time, who words somewhat speaks clearly to my mind and is so TIMELESS.... Music wise, I love soca too bad so I've been hitting some classics, some Maximus, and anything that just seem to run positive lyrics through my mind throughout the day! And, believe it or not when I was young, I couldn't fall asleep right without the sound of the sea, so they got me a tape, lol.. Now I've upgraded to a cd, lol... But I don't use it anymore, I think I should break it out for ole time sake! It reminded me of home...... Chocolate thanks for the book selection! Mrs. Socaflex I've been thinking about getting a dog or a cat! When my sister was sick with Lupus, we were thinking of getting one not only for a gift, but they said it would've been some help. I'm still thinking about it! |

i normally go to the beach or to a park when thhings are getting to me. i also listen to classical and jazz to calm me. or david rudder.lauren hills miseducation helps alot.
but my favorite thing to do is to pick my baby up and lie down in the bed with him. he knows my moods and when something is bothering me he holds me back. |
