Cultural Exchange

I don't know how many people in the NYC area know this but this week there is a delgation from South Africa visiting here to promote thier JAH (Jazz African Heritage) Cultural exchange. It's a two week event and the public events are starting this week and all are free. Except where noted. Check out the site. http://www.centralbrooklynjazz.org/ click the link for a full schedule.

They are looking to have people from the diaspora visit South Africa in February of 2007 to join in a conference of art, and music...mostly jazz. Check out this website. www.blackhistorymonthjazzheritage.com

The first week they visited various black churches and organizations to meet with the local artists, business people and musicians. I'll post some pics in a few
