Whats up Ludacris81
Many people have the misconception that Manhattan parties are "social" and stuck up kinda vibes. On the other hand when u look at Caribbean Fetes in de city such as Bentley's, Caribbean Fever after work party at Eugenes a few years ago, Aura after work party on Thursdays and Caribbean Fridays at Element just to name a few...

Point of the matter is being that Manhattan is in the center of all 5 boroughs, it attracts West Indian people from as far as jersey and Connecticut etc who may not necessarily want to travel all the way to BK.

Experiment in de city...u just might like it :-)

I really don't think there will be any seating arrangements...it's an open space.

Red face Please bare with me

Whats up people..sorry not really up on this quoting and stuff on these threads so I will just give a general response...Ok now don't get me wrong I have been to parties in the city where its crazy...yes Upscale, fridays @ Element...that DJ be going in...sweat sweat and more sweat...lol
but other than Machel coming to the city (well this year cause last year was suspect too)...every & I mean everytime there is a soca or reggae performance @ a club or event...its like what happened to the party..the crowd is crazy when the DJ is playing but as soon as the performers come on stage...its like oh come on people..even the artist be like what is this (no flags waving, no jumping, no singing)...I mean I dont know if its the fact that they are dressed "grown & sexy" or if it is just manhattan period...its just not the same like a brooklyn, bronx or even queens thing.
The only reason I even get to have fun is because I roll with like 7 of my peeps and we stop caring about what people think of us while they watch us party (just hating cause they forgot how to enjoy themselves). But in the back of my head, I can almost feel what the artist is thinking when they are up there performing. They are use to tearing down stadiums filled with people getting on bad, but they can't rock a club of a couple hundred...& the songs dont change so it must be the people, or maybe its just me & I have too much expectation... Well this is just my feelings on the matter but like I said I won't let it get to me too much cause I have to support my fellow caribbeans... so I picked up 10 tickets...will be crossing my fingers to see who show up
