Lower, the banks are still not lending and plus i don't think they hit a bottom yet for investors to start back trading. Its still up in the air.

wow 200 points, well this would be interesting to see. 200 + on the boards is possible but other factors are also in play. The markets across the globe are taking a hit and even though the feds asked other countries to take an interest rate cut we still saw the dow dropped in points. I say give it one more week like the middle of next week or something then we'll see the boards start to move positive.

I say flat with the futures + 200 i dont expect google and apple to release their numbers during the day

when they announce are you expecting a positive or negative reaction?

what i am terrified about is next weeks earnings coming from the major banks.

overall bad, (but i think bad news has been priced into their current prices - thats why i think there stock will bounce up)

i think they will say good last quarter with a reduced revenue outlook for the next quarter went compared to last year . next quarter is critical to both companies cause both of them depend on the consumer, and this christmas no fat bonuses on wall street there will be fewer ipods, ithings under the christmas tree

but in another side of things i eh understand the sell off in utilities, is not like people gone stop using electricity and gas.. i mean coned trading below a p/e of 10, and yield of ~ 6.. eh making sense at all

Hmmmm...so what happened to the bailout supporters? Wasn't supposed to be preventing something? What good do you feel its doing now?

the bail out is in effect. its working already...didnt you hear about how well AIG put their bailout money to use?
