I don't think the song is Haitian. I consider it to be more Antiguan/Montserratian - that kind of vibe. And why do we like it? It is unusual, it is sweet, its vibesy, it has a great melody and the riddum just infectious.

From the first note when Edwin calls out: "woo.." and de riddim kicks in...it just keeps you going from there on in. Have you heard the road mix? It just carries you along.

Yuh know I don't want to sound critical because everybody is entiled to like what deh like, and if we all liked the same thing this world would be boring, but your comment came off (and maybe its just me) as if sounding Haitian was a bad thing? The song is about a haitian woman... and what is wrong with that... If you don't like de beat that's fine.... Why you didn't like Faluma because it was too Surinam...ish...

I like the song because it is different and the tempo is fast. I think most of the family members would agree that we like different types of soca, Trinidadian (of Course),Haitian, Bajan, Antiguan, etc. So if Sak Passe was Haitian it wouldn't matter because music is music, soca is soca, we appreciate it all.
