The current T&T government seems to be trying their best to demographically and poltically emulate what has happened in Guyana and are busy emptying the country's treasury while executing their plans just in case they get voted out of office.

Did you know that T&T now has more East Indians than Guyana and at least have of the East Indians in Trinidad right now who claim to be Trini have Guyanese roots?

Well unfortunately they have also brought their racists corrupt style of politics with them with the encouragement of people like Satnarayan Maharaj leader of the Sanatan Dharma Maha Sabha, the major Hindu organization in T&T.

Most of them don't care about T&T and are just in the country to get what they can from the government in return for their votes. When the shit hits the fan they know they can run back to Guyana which has lots of hiding space if they are unable to make their way to the USA or Canada.

Here are some interesting stats I found:
    (http://pages.gseis.ucla.edu/faculty/...ntry/tnt.htm):

Between 1845 & 1917 approx. 144,000 East Indians immigrated to Trinidad to work as Indentured laborers mainly on estates and sugar plantations. Twice as many East Indians went to Guyana during the same period.

At the end of Indentureship period in 1917 the African population in T&T was almost twice that of the East Indian population at about 250,000 and the total T&T population was approx. 355,000.

By the 1950's T&T's population had more than doubled to 740,000 and by Independence in 1962 it was about 900,000. Fast forward to 2015 and the current population of T&T is approx. 1.3 million with about 470,000 East Indians, 460,000 Africans and 305,000 of mixed-race/douglas.

So in summary since 1917 and the end of Indentureship to the present time, the East Indian population in T&T has almost quadrupled from 144,000 to 470,000 while the African population in T&T has less than doubled from 250,000 to 460,000.

So the question is how has the East Indian population in T&T grown to pass the East Indian population in Guyana since Indentureship ended unless T&T's Indians have been having way more sex and children than those in Guyana over the years?

We also note that in Guyana the East Indian population was approx. 395,000 in the 1980's which has since reduced to less than 300,000 while the African Guyanese population has remained relatively the same at about 230,000 since the 1980's to present.

So why has the Afro-Guyanese population been relatively stable since the 1980's while the Indo-Guyanese population has reduced by almost 100,000 during that same period and where have all these Indo-Guyanese been migrating to?

Yes, we know that some have been migrating to countries like USA, Canada and the UK. But based on T&T's East Indian population overtaking Guyana's East Indian population after being just half of Guyana's population at an earlier point and also based on the amount of people of Guyanese origin currently in T&T, the answer is that most of them have been migrating to Trinidad especially since the 1980's.

The rise of the current corrupt racist T&T government as a major political force in T&T is thus directly related to the amount of Indo-Guyanese who have migrated from Guyana to Trinidad.

Within this context we can now clearly understand the racist immigration policy of the current T&T government towards African nationals from the other CARICOM countries who might want to work and live in T&T as CARICOM citizens. If you are not of a particular race and viewed as a likely voter for the current government then you are not welcomed to work and settle in T&T as they believe you may eventually not vote for the Indian led party.

Unfortunately right now this is the programme going on in T&T with the help and blessing of the current government that is designed to turn T&T into another Guyana. If the current T&T government gets another 5 years they will complete the job and the East Indian population in T&T is going to far outstrip the African population with the help of the Indo-Guyanese making it impossible to remove the current corrupt racist political regime from power.

As we know from the example of politics in Guyana, these people vote for a government based on race of the leader rather than on proper issues to do with good governance and transparency meaning that regardless of how corrupt the government is they will get voted back into power once a certain group becomes the vast majority. That is exactly what ruined Guyana in my opinion and T&T is now on the brink of going exactly the same way.

I hope the folks who live in T&T and care for the country's future realize what is going on right before their eyes and ensure they get rid of the current corrupt racist government as this could be their last chance to save their country for being turned into another Guyana.

We are not as bad as Guyana but we are heading there.

Provided we get rid of our current racist government we can turn things around especially with the Black Caucus Movement taking hold in T&T (http://www.bcmmovement.com/).

Ultimately T&T could end up being the shining centre of of Black Consciousness in the Caribbean.

Marcus Garvey once said that Black people will not know themselves until their backs are against the wall.
Well Black folks in Trinidad are now being forced to wake up as their backs are being pressed against the wall.

What is happening now could turn out to be a blessing in disguise to unite Black people in T&T and ultimately throughout the Caribbean.

Btw listen to the Black Caucus Movement programme right now broadcasting live on the Street 91.9FM at this link: http://www.thestreet919fm.com/

    PS:
Things are not so bad on the ground race relations wise in T&T as evidenced by us having over 300,000 douglas which is more than 4 times the population of DA just in mixed race people as a product of inter-marriage. The politicians are the ones spoiling T&T but folks on the ground are generally good people and get along relatively well. Problems only occur when the powers that be try to discriminate in the job market, etc.
