the reason i ask is because some fool debating that someone shouldnt be cultural ambassador cause that person doesnt sing BARBADIAN music.

from my recollection SOCA IS FROM TRINIDAD, REGGAE IS FROM JAMAICA. if they are considered barbadian music, then fine, cause they are barbadians who do pop, r&b, hip hop, rap, etc.

MY DEFINITION of barbadian music is 'any musical genre sung by a BARBADIAN'.

so if a bajan sing reggaeton and puts it out on the radio, THAT IS BARBADIAN MUSIC, and so on. MUSIC IS UNIVERSAL, not defined by no one.

btw, I DONT BLAME BAJANS FUH SINGIN AMERICAN GENRES cause the RADIO DJS FORCE IT DOWN WE THROATS EVERY DAMN DAY.

i said any music sung by a BAJAN. if a gt come to barbados and do music, that is gt music cause the only thing gt gine come here and do music is SOCA/REGGAE OR CALYPSO. and those genres are in guyana, so the gt would be doin GT MUSIC with a BAJAN TWIST.

u need to tek mr hype ################ from ya ear and listen.

    Hmmm

But if a Grenadian was singing R&B in Europe, that wont be Grenadian music.
