A wild candlelit sex ritual between a Brooklyn woman and her voodoo priest got so hot and heavy, they ended up torching their clothes and sheets -- sparking the nasty fire that killed a retired teacher and left 100 people homeless last week, sources said yesterday.

The unidentified client was just looking for some good luck in her life when she forked over $300 to the horny holy man at his East 29th Street apartment in East Flatbush last Saturday, sources said.

"She had problems in her life, and she wanted them taken care of," a law-enforcement source said.



"He poured rum on the floor near the door to prevent evil spirits from getting inside," the source said. "[He told her] in order for it to work, they had to have sex."

The witch doctor and his voodoo doll then proceeded to romp on a bed that was perilously surrounded by a large number of ritual candles, sources said.

"She told them [fire marshals] that while she was having sex, she was getting aroused, she was getting into it and she didn't realize that their activity had knocked over some of the candles around the bed," the source said.

The candles ignited linen and clothes on the floor, and the room quickly caught fire.

"The sex must have been so good they didn't see it coming," said one law-enforcement source. "Maybe they should have practiced safe sex."

The witch doctor didn't think to call 911. He instead tried to douse the flames with water from a bathroom sink.

As his efforts failed and the flames grew, another man who was ironing his pants in the apartment saw the fire and panicked. He threw a window open, letting wind blow in, which fanned the already-high flames into a massive inferno.

The two men and the woman fled the fourth-floor apartment and left the door open.

Wind gusts of 40 mph "created a blowtorch effect as winds whipped in through the open window and pushed fire out into the hallway," the FDNY said.

Mary Feagin, 62, a retired school guidance counselor who lived on the sixth floor, died in the blaze.

It took 200 firefighters from 44 companies to put out the five-alarm blaze. Twenty firefighters were injured.

Fire officials said that no charges are expected, even though the witch doctor wasn't truthful at first with cops. He initially told them that he had been in bed all day, and only saw the woman when she delivered him food, sources said.

It was only after fire marshals listened to the 911 tapes and talked to witnesses, including the woman, that the truth came out.

Officials didn't identify the voodoo priest, but building residents who knew the man from the apartment said they never knew him to practice the craft.

"Everybody heard rumors, but I didn't know he was a voodoo priest," said one building resident.

Thank You I thought I was the only one that caught that...if it was a christian priest molesting kids...I doubt you would ever hear the description of the priest as a "holy horny man"...the journalist looked too happy to jump on this...cuz of the stereotypes/misconceptions of haitian vodou...

As far as that "vodou" priest goes...dude is clearly one of those scammers who use religion to make money and/or gain sexual favors...as soon as the dude told the woman she needed to have sex with him to "take care" of the problems in her life along with the $300....that should have been a big red alarm...funny how the scam was described as a "voodoo sex ritual"...yet back again to my example of christian priests molesting kids...u would never those acts described as a "christian sex ritual"...
