Viewing The US Electorate by Population Density

As You Can See....Where the majority of Americans live, they are either purple of blue areas.

This country is moving more to the left as the "old guard" dies off.

We all become the old guard at some stage.

    You know what they say:
If you're not liberal when you're young, you have no heart. If you're not conservative when you're older, you have no brain.

Nope. As this generation gets older...they won't be plagued with the troubles of old.

The greed, racism, not giving a shit about the poor, and other ailments that seem to be the theme of the baby boomers.....will slowly die off.

Greed, racism etc will forever be a problem....but not as much as it has been imo. We've seen where untamed greed leaves this country...it brings it to the brink of destruction...and nobody wants that.

The US election has always been an election of City Folk vs. Country Folk.

Do you guys think Romney Cares about Philadelphia or Pittsburgh?
No, he cares about North Alabama ( the area between Philly and Pittsburgh ).

Flipside Obama don't care about North Alabama, only Philly and Pittsburgh.

Now that the population of the cities actually determine elections, the Republicans will have to listen to the city folk to get the city vote.

All that blue in the middle Alabama swinging up through the northwest of Alabama and northeast Mississippi, and all that blue along the western edge of Mississippi border.....big turn out for southern blacks. I havn't been down that way in years... would like to see how it's changed since then. Save for Atl, they seem to have outdone Georgia with Obama votes.

The problem as I see it is people trade off of these things, it's their currency. So you have characters like Sharpton in the US, who describe different things with the same name. So racism is a man calling you 'ni%%er' and racism is an official saying you can't vote on Sundays or you need ID.
And in Trinidad racial discrimination is giving an African a scholarship from a fund in a Culture ministry when there already exists a policy of free tertiary education for all.
The people who benefit from race and greed always find a way to manipulate people.

And the people will always be manipulated because it's in our nature to blame the other guy.

*By our nature I mean everyone not black people.

Old people are more conservative by nature.
Areas where there are a lot of old people will be conservative.

Rural people cling to their Bible and their guns and usually vote social issues over economic.

Rich people are not that monolithic.
About half of the rich are liberal Hollywood types and artisans who are do-gooders. They tend to live in large cities and vote against their economics (its not only the rural white people who don't vote on pocketbook issues). Then there are the rich capitalist (urbanites) who vote Republican because it makes dollars and sense.

It has always been this way. The only difference is that suburbs in the Sunbelt region are becoming purple given the transplant population mixed with older neoconservatives.

Strum, Republicans still run the house, and most if not all southern states have republican legislators. Even in Florida, Republicans run our state legislature.
