    Targeted advertising

I know its all done by computers and data mining.... But do you get the feeling of being watched

Like you log on to a website and ad pop up of place in your neighborhood

or you get an email of an offer for a restuarant in your zip code

and the new google privacy thing ....

Is this a good thing or bad?

hard to tell, before you use to get ads for thing that you don't want need or care for now you get ads for things you might be interested in.

but then again besides advertiser who exactly is getting all the info....

Yep. It makes me very uncomfortable.

Especially when i did a search for something in one window.. and for the rest of the day im getting ads on various sites for similar items.
