    Tanning...

Now, I love when I'm tanned after a trip somewhere, but I don't see how fair skin folks can tan themselves to the point where they start to look like leather. There's a student here who just walked by and I know she's probably 5 yrs or so younger than me...looks like she'll hit 40 within 2 yrs. If I go to the beach or pool, I'm rarely out past 1 hr & I apply sunscreen prior. But this chic...lawd, it look like she pick up foundation 5 shades too dark & it not hiding nothing but young age.

People don't realise there are bronzers available?

Those leather/maroon lookin people look ridiculous. Yet they work so hard at making themselves look like that. And orange fake-tanners look just as bad. Just give up and accept the color you are!

    shut up.

it always amazes me how some folk make such strides to get color. it's almost comical. thank god for my extra melanin, 10 minutes in direct sun and i'm a shade darker.

Well I think the products have gotten better over the years...at least people don't look like the great pumpkin anymore. But looking more than a couple shades darker just looks weird.

True, but you see all these celebs and tv personalities with a painted, unnatural orangey hue to them. It looks silly.

i think the leather look happens with older white people

their skin seems to wrinkle easily
    the tone does not help

You don't have to be old to start lookin like leather. I mean I seen some neighbours in what appears to be their 40s & they look damn leathery.

Best way to avoid peeling afterwards is a nice, generous lathering of aloe vera gel... works for me!

Well it's when u do that crap all the time, not just on holiday. Doesn't help when you're white or very fair-skinned.
