    Some of us prevent opportunities from happening...

    Scenario 1 (a phone conversation):

    Guy: Hi babes... How are you?

    Gyal: Hi!! I'm fine... How bout you?

    Guy: I am good? So what are you up to?

    Gyal: I'm here sorting some stuff, doing some cleaning, cooking....

    Guy: Sounding like you have lots to do....

    Gyal: Yeah lol

    Conversation goes on for a lil bit but guy does not keep the lady he is dating on for too long since he feels like he might keep her from what she is doing. He really called to ask her to go out on a date.

    Should the woman not mention all she is doing (which in most cases closes the door for a chance to go out) or should the man have mentioned why he is calling from the moment his lady gets on the phone?

    Scenario 2 (Boss comes over to employee):

    Boss: Excuse me Michelle, I need to talk with you for a moment.

    Michelle: Sure what would you like to talk about?

    Boss: Well, we are moving towards using a new system. I would like you to undergo training for it and then help train your coworkers.

    Michelle: Oh no I don't think I can handle that... I am not best person to train others.

    Boss: Are you sure?

    Michelle: Yeah

    Little did Michelle know there could be a lot of positive results coming from her doing this. Her boss would have rewarded her efforts. She could have had personal growth as well. Instead the project went to someone else. What would you have done differently?

    I believe many of us prevent opportunities from happening without even realizing it.
    What other scenarios come to mind?

    Well it just seemed like he Chickened out! she said she was doing chores, so he coulda just mention why he calling. Is not like he was making her stop doing what she doing to leave the house right away. He is a chicken.

    well she is an idiot.. It seems like michelle is afraid of change or responsibility and she got real comfortable in her position.

    scenario one:
    If he was really interested he could of made a lil small joke...which may turn into a real one and say "leh me come help yuh, so we can go and spend some time together"" something along those lines...or even tell she when she ain busy or when she done..if she ain too tired leh dey go out.

    Scenario 2: she just blasted lazy, ah vexxx.

    He could have asked her if she want to take a break or what time she anticipate finishing or something.

    she could have at least gone further to see what it about.
    Sometimes the company just uses you other times it has profit she should have played along to get the full picture.

    I would have mentioned that I called to ask you out but if you too busy we can do it another time. This way she has an "out" if she is really too busy. Also, I would know if she has an interest if she can't do it today but would love to do so later.

    Obviously Michelle is not comfortable in a training/leadership position. But so it go. If she can't see the forest for the trees then she need not complain later down the road when she realizes what passed her up.

    1st scenario if he wanted to go out with she he would have made it known........2nd scenario i doh blame she because it have certain jobs where they will use, abuse and den refuse to promote you after you help dem out...........so maybe she been burnt and know better.........
