Running to the middle ground is killing Obama's governance

There is a place for the middle but seeking the middle in every conflict or challenge is killing Obama's governance and his effectiveness as president. This guy is always seeking to please everyone which is starting to annoy the hell out of me.

1. The General requested 40,000 troops which annoys the left but is delightful to the right. Instead he's thinking of a more moderate "surge", somewhere in the middle.

2. He has allowed Congress to dictate the pace, tone, and direction of the health care debate. He's in the background when he should be at the fore. He's trying to get one Republican vote while his base is threatening to leave.

Let me know what y'all think.

Yeah, it hard to disagree with what you said above. He is trying to please to many people. It is hard to govern that way. But then again the conservatives are calling him the most radical president ever....so the man cya win.

I do think he is trying to be too bipartisan... but on the healthcare debate you actually have many moderate democrats in congress who don't want a public option which is why he can't ram the public option through.
