Standard procedure for these stars and/or up-and-coming starlets.

Tina Turner's is insured for that or more.

J.Lo insured her boomsie alone for 2 mil.

    Rihanna's joining a growing list.

That's nothing new. I'm sure singers insure thier voices and I know Surgeons insure thier hands.

You can insure anything you want for however much money you want as long as someone is willing to accept that policy. Also keep in mind for her to insure he legs for a $1 million it is probably only costing her $10-15K

The whole thing about insuring legs for $1 million(s) has been a Hollywood
publicity stunt for 50 years. I'm don't remember off the top of my head
which star was the first to do this. At that time, the policy was in effect
for a matter of hours. Someone like Rihanna has probably been
advised to carry disability insurance that would cover the potential loss
of income should she experience a career ending accident or illness.

If you think about $1 million is not all that much these days for an
entertainer whose appearance is almost just importance as the quality
    or her releases.

A publicity stunt? I do not see it as a publicity stunt at all. Maybe that occurance when it happened first but I find it to be a sound financial decision. You said it yourself she most likely has multiple policies but so $1 mil is a good number especially since it is ONLY her legs. Entertainers and Athletes (especially college athletes who are view as locks as professionals) have created a cottage industry inside of the Insurance industry for policies such as Rihanna. Cottage industries aren't created by publicity stunts.

I don't disagree with your reasoning about insurance for the loss of
potential income, but to talk about it on television is strictly for
publicity. That's why entertainers appear on television talk shows
    in the first place.

Well, luckily Rihanna still young so she have a while before her thighs turn cheesy.

No need to worry about that right now.
