What they need to do is cut the U.S corporate taxes and encourage companies to invest here....even if they have to enact laws to get a desired result then so be it. The Dems are not business friendly and we need a business friendly government to get America out of the mess that it is right now.

What they need to do is have a complete mental shift in the business world and realize that it can't all be about money. There is something to be said for employing people in the US and giving them a good wage without worrying about growing your revenue by hundreds of percentage points every year. There is a limit to how effective capitalism can be...the result is nothing being made in america....but fancy products in the business world which is based on air and will one day implode. The business world need to start bringing jobs back to america and stop salivating over the fact that they can pay someone in india a fraction of the wage they would have to pay here. You can't have it both ways. It can't all be about profits.

Exactly, people act as though it's impossible to make profits while still paying people a livable wage. Its disgusting, nothing but pure GREED.

right business is to blame for unfunded health care schemes, and underfunded pension schemes, business is to blame for wars, business is to blame is to blame for the overheated housing market.

come on and be reasonable do you think wealthy people stop buying and investing in a recession, quite the opposite.

if you ran a business you would understand more why businesses wont go around hiring people now. How can you hire more people when it is unclear how much money has to spent on local and federal taxes for health care? How can you invest in the business longterm when there is no clear energy policy from the government?

you want the government to increase spending? where is the money going to come from not tax payers, cause if everyone pays more in taxes, what money is being spent on goods and services, which powers business and pays employees? So let us say the government gets the money from debt markets what is going happen increased debt, weaker US dollar, and a more costly living standard? So give the people money that with worse less? RIGHT!!!

Let me make this clear for you guys. There is absolutley no evidence that tax breaks create jobs, or thay higher taxes stunt job growth.

Taxes were high under Clinton, yet millions of jobs were created.

Taxes were low under Bush, yet only a fraction of jobs were created compared to what was created under Clinton.

    There is no correlation.

The Repubs just want to reward their buddies who donated to their campaign.

I can't believe you guys fall for these politcal stunts.

    Basically.

If low taxes stimulated the economy or created jobs, it would stand to reason we wouldn't be in the worst recession since the depression would we?
Can't believe people falling for this either.
When one of the authors of Reaganomics says trickle down economics doesnt work, what more you you need?

Yep. I've been saying this...outsourcing(GREED) will kill this country. Maybe Obama should start penalizing or heavily taxing companies who are using foreign labor....

Capital One, AT&T, Tmobile, all of them....

    Dede, that is true.

One of the biggest economic growth periods in the US was during the biggest tax hikes this country has had. In fact, during the biggest tax hike, the country was able to get out of the depression.
