    People with expensive cars

I don't know how many are there on Imix but I have a question.

Why do some folks who buy expensive car stress so much about someone touching their car? I'm not talking about kids playing ball around their car and all. Why take the car out and park it in a parking lot and constantly worry about what could happen to it?

There is two kind of expensive cars..

    the show off

    and the investment

the show off bought a car that no one within his class or surrounding has, and desperately needs to keep up appearance and resale value.

the investment is the car in which there are limited copies or the manufacturer calls you for yours. a car which actually appreciate in value.

I understand IG but whether one is a show off or investmentor, if you constantly worry about your car when you take it out on the road, just leave it in The garage.

Oh sorry. i forgot to further explain

the person buying the car as an investment, normally do not drive it around

if they do, it is on a closed course..

lower mileage makes for better resale value

unless you are a race driver, then you going beat that bad boy out on the track.

i remember back in 2011, a red 1967 Dodge Dart with only 42 miles on it, with all the paper works on the car sold for 2.4 million at Barrett-Jackson

Well people who have non-daily driver cars do like to enjoy trying it out on a nice sunday afternoon after shining and polishing it, but dont want a bunch of fingerprints on it fukkin up the candy paint job... after than they put it back in the garage only to drive it in another 2 or 3 weeks.. a friend of mines who has a Corvette does that and catches a conniption if you put your fingers on his car

I used to live in a building in a not that great (two steps away from ghetto) neighborhood and there was a sports car that would occasionally park there. They would park their car on the line to take up two parking spaces!!!

It used to drive me crazy and I used to want to park my piece of crap car right beside it. I am sure that they did not pay for two parking spots.

If you can afford that car, move the heck out of the (almost) ghetto or move out your relative/girlfriend!
