    Do you think the rest of the world will continue to earn less than US even though their productivity is making gains against the US.

    Until the average citizen in China and Brazil are granted the same standard of living than that of US citizens, there's nothing to worry about in regards to the US losing its standings in the foreseeable future.

    What happens when they can get 50% of the Chinese population drink a can of coke a day.

    lol nice try oneshot but its not apart of their culture so it will never be the same. Americans and glutinous by nature and historical pedigree..

    but they dont need to eat a lot just a litte bit more.

    they are now the largest car market. does that mean they could translate their local brands into global brands.

    Dude, there's still a segment of society where people live primitive conditions. China is light years behind the US. What JK said is correct. The Chinese have different philosophies and expectations on how their government should be ran. Right now, the Chinese government is trying to regulate the internet. They don't have the common laws, which US citizens take for granted.

    I always laugh at the US and China comparison.

    everybody wants a better life man. that has nothing to do with government. you cant stop a couple people million from revolting.
