No one has ever heard of any of your islands so even when you speak they will think that you are Jamaican. Some of those AAs probably were even referring to a non-Jamaican when they made those comments because they think the whole Caribbean is just Jamaica and a few other places that no one really knows about except for a few tourist spots.

People copy the and study the Jamaican accent all over the world.

when I was in highschool there was this white girl who was 1 year behind me. Anyways we had a school trip the the emerald pool... once we got there, everybody walking towards the trail. The girl got stopped and was asked to pay some fee. She told them she was not a tourist and she's there with her school. The park ranger still was still forcing the issue cause they didn't believe her.

Well anyways she let go one "mudda lang sousoun" on the ranger. If you see how de man shock?! It was hilarious. He let her pass one time. :
