As a man from Point Fortin Trinidad I want to give the Government credit....

...where it is due. They doing a lot of sh*t in other areas but in this one particular case I have to applaud them.

The stinking PNM Manning government sat by as the Liquid Nitrogen Gas came into my small town and lick up the beach that i and most grown Point people grew up on. I have so many great childhood memories on that beach. It was such a pretty little thing....and people used to come from miles around to relax there.

Clifton Hill beach was destroyed LNG came to down and dredged that area.... and no one seemed to care because the big LNG plant went up and money was being made. Phuck the people who have cherished childhood memories on the most important beach in Point Fortin.

I couldn't begin to tell you how angry i was when i visited home some years ago and saw how devastated that area was as a result of that plant being placed there.

Well now after all these years, a class A facility....almost a tourist resort has been built and I must say that from the videos and pictures i have seen, I have impressed. Point has never had anything like this. Good job to the TnT government on this score.

I can't wait to go check in out live and in living color.

It's a good that issues in other parts of the country neglected for decades are being addressed.........looks like some decentralizing of the government has been in motion too so that everything isn't in POS........some good should come with the very bad.

I can't find my picture of when the beach was destroyed. They put up a retaining wall and the beach was filled in with tons of rocks. The water brown and dirty from dredging as it lashed against the retaining wall. All the sand had dissappeared.

Check it out. I know the video probably makes it look way more glitzy but i'm really anxious to go see this place. You gotta understand how sleepy and small town Point is....except for Borough Day....so a place like this is a big deal.

We tend to call it Guapo beach. I was there in 2012 and I loved it save for the oil that got on your body from time to time. It's good to see that they finished the facilities which they started back then.

I'm blown away by this model. If this comes to fruition...and i know part of it is already operational....if this comes to fuition i will be very happy.

i can name 10 other places in TNT that deserve a facility like this besides there, that beach is not a notable one

so this is what the government stop the Maracas Bay project 4?

I disagree with SWAGGERIFIC, this beach is better than Maracas bar the tar that occasionally gets on one's hand.
