actually, that had nothing to do with it. he wasn't even that popular back in 2001 when he stood against the cops. that change-of-position didn't make much news in nyc for it to affect anything.

you should know this if u lived in nyc.

of course, that story is pretty indicative of 1 reason why he's never been really popular (indicative, but not a reason); you can't link him to any issues. He's just not that strong a candidate.

and he followed it up with the blatant lie about attending public school... cardinal sin of politics..

F**k Ferrer...he came across like a grease-bag politican...then he had the deceptive C.Virginia Fields with him....

YEAH Bloomie...I like him he does what he does without the butt-kissing..

you must have read this after he withdrew his original statement.. Freddy is flipping Fred - he flip-flops like a mud-fish.
and as far as not being popular please remember that Mark Green crushed him that year, and he has for years represented the "great-hispanic-hope"

c'mon, let's be real. even if he had a squeaky-clean perfect campaign run, he still wasn't going to touch bloomberg.

Agreed! All he did was complain about the present mayor's office and what they weren't doing. Yet, he never gave his strategy as to what he would do to improve the state of things in teh city of NYC.

    They both are wack...
