    Juicers

mine just died this morning so it means I need to go buy a new one this evening.

I am not willing to drop $600 on a Vitamex quite yet, so does anyone have any recommendations for juicers less than $200?

I just use the jack la lane juicers
    Affordable
    And generally durable
What ive noticed is with any juicer that isnt of industrial strength, its better to juice slow, that way it doesnt get clogged and break

I havent looked at Lane's juicers because for some reason I thought they were in the Vitamex/Breville price range as well. Thanks. I'll check that one out as well.

Yeah, I agree with the 2nd part. The motors in the cheaper ones cannot handle hard vegetables like carrots and such, so it seems to tax the hell out of it. I try to go slow but I'm kinda impatient in the morning. lol I was doing a big batch of juice this morning and the poor thing just gave up the ghost.

I just bought one 2-3 weeks ago from Macy's. I believe the name is 'Bereille'(sp)

I paid $131 for it and so far it's great. Once you get used to putting it together it's cool.

I bought it to juice veges for my son. It's an excellent healthy investment.

omg! That is an inexpensive Breville, TriniAmeri?!!

I just got excited! lol All the models I've seen clear $400 and I have no inclination to drop that kind of coin on a juicer quite yet.

I'm not in the States, but I'll check if I can find the model in my kitchen store here, or order online if need be.

    Smile

Another tip is to alternate between the hard and soft juicables
For example, i will juice half an apple, parsley or whatever greens i am using, then the other half of the apple, then more parsley, etc.
