    Im tired of BLACK PEOPLE

Making skin color out to be a disability. When are we going to just understand the world is never gonna be fair so we just have to be always faster?

I just had a talk very similiar to this one with some friends of mine regarding advancement and the hinderance (sp) to expect based on skin color. The conversation came up when one of them was complaining that certain people were advancing faster even though they did not appear to have valid credentials compared to others. My college experience taught me that at times I would have to work twice as hard as my white counterparts to be acknowledged as smart or inteligent. As silly as it sounded, it was true. It wan't good enough for me to get the same grades as the smart white kid. I had to beat him. (predominantly male school). I take that same work ethic into the work force because I refuse to let anyone hold me back.

That was the thinking among Blacks when I came to this country, but i when things don't change fast enough, then disillusionment can set in. Many of the white kids i went to school with were mediocre, but felt better because of their skin colour.
