what concerns me is that there is no standardisation or set of international rules or guidelines.

POS to PEK - no problem but returning from Beijing to London last week, we were charged US$1,010 in overweight!

we were virtually bracing to have to pay similar charges for the last leg of our journey from London to POS but British Airways did not even blink - just made us send it as extra cargo.

so.. why do some airlines charge so much and others don't?

    ?
Because there are no rules or guidelines so the airlines can rape our wallets repeatedly with any and every kind of facked up fee possible.

Sometimes I think it depends on the clerk u get. When I traveling I does try meh best to end up by the male counter and make small talk with him I does just pray to god he not gay truss me it has worked for me. When I get females is always some facking problem. Like coming back from Vegas in December, this b!tch make me take out a jeans from meh suitcase cuz it was 1 lb overweight, hubby get so vex he start to quarrel with me...then come apologizing saying he was mad at the heffa for making us take out a jeans for 1 lb We flew all the way back to NY in silence

But de trick is finding the clerk u can flirt with...u men have it easier, cuz most of the clerks are females. When hubby and i traveling, i'll make him check us in and tell hide his ring finger or something

Well last month we got slugged 600US from TAB to Frankfurt in overweight, and because I was going on to another city I got slugged another 400euros from the other airline! So over one thousand US by the time I got to my destination! And my luggage got lost for a day...I WANT A REFUND!

question... if yuh know how much weight/luggage is allowed per airline... why not just abide by that and avoid the extra charges and such?
