    Guyana struggles with rising seas

Wish I could say that I had confidence in the inept PPP government's ability to maintain Guyana's sea defense.

“If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters.” Frederick Douglass

    Dat nah gon really help.

    And could be very expensive.

The problems would arise from the 3 main rivers Demerara, Berbice and Essequibo. These rivers gaves the Atlantic ocean too much access to de inlands. There is a bar about 2 miles from de coastline that would help in a good defense. but building on it would deny boats access. They would have to build canals.
