Guardian TV ‘still born’

MANY of the reporters who quit TV6 and ran to the Cable News Channel (CNC3), the Ansa McAl/Trinidad Guardian new television station, are said to be ruing their decision.
“Nothing is happening at Guardian TV,” TnT Mirror was told by a manager at the entity.
“It is almost as if those in charge don’t know what they are doing.
“To put it in local parlance, they don’t seem to know their a#* from their elbow.”

One source also stated: “We ran from one woman who behaved like a bulldozer and we have bounced up another woman who wants to be a bulldozer.
“It is hell; the Guardian TV woman is behaving in almost the same manner as that other woman at TV6 whom she also criticised.”
The source continued: “It looks as if the Telecommunications Authority of TnT (TATT) did us a favour when they pulled the plug on us, and stopped us from coming on air two weeks ago.
“It is clear that they were not ready and they would have looked damn stupid on TV.
“Anthony Sabga must be wondering what the hell the people he put in charge are doing.
“It looks as if the same mistakes that Sabga made in opening the Wire newspaper, which operated for just about one year, are about to repeat themselves.
“If the Guardain TV continues as it is going, it will not even make one year.
“At this stage, no one is sure what is the keep back.
“They were supposed to open since August 31.
“Almost one month has passed and they seem no nearer to opening.
“They have reporters going out like fools and interviewing people and when people turn to Channel 3 there is no story.
“It is a house of madness over at the Guardian building.
“They have their presenters -- Roger Sant, Carla Foderingham, Shelly Dass and Eric Mackie -- training almost without an end.
“They, too, have no idea when they will be going on air.
“It looks as if Sabga has lost his touch for business.
“Or, maybe, the wrong people are in charge of his TV.”
*on a note - the station started airing on Monday 26th Sept, with a lot of errors, no proper sound barriers installed in studio so echos and all sorts of outside interference happening....
in addition - the morning programme (made to immitate morning edition & t&t this morning) has a presenter who should be at home, or out playing golf with his buddies........talk about over the hill.....
