Over TT$150 million — that's how much, Gisele Bundchen, the world's top-earning model of 2010, made by year's end. Gisele was discovered at the world renowned Elite Model Look competition in 1993.

Come August 23 to 25, young females from Trinidad and Tobago will have the opportunity of a lifetime; as Elite Model Look Caribbean begins its regional search with local castings.

Glamour, eternal youth, timeless beauty, innovation and professionalism are the qualities of the Elite Model Management brand and young females, who believe that they embody these qualities, are invited to participate. Select locations throughout the country will soon come alive with excitement as eager hopefuls are invited to strut their stuff before a selection panel.

"Elite is excited about finding another top model with an exotic look from the Caribbean," revealed Caribbean franchise holder Derrick Lewis. "Having one of our Caribbean girls blow up on the international scene is possible now more than ever. Arlenis Sosa from the Dominican Republic participated in the Elite Model Look World in 2006, and now she's an international model superstar having been featured on the covers of Vogue, Flare, WSJ and several other magazines, "added Lewis.

Elite's International casting criteria require that participants are female, aged between 14 and 22 years and five feet seven inches minimum height. The panel of judges or "jury'', as it is being called, will be made up of representatives from Elite International Model Management, the Elite Model Look Caribbean management team and a local celebrity from the territory.

"This is a fantastic opportunity for young women desirous of a professional international career in modelling," stated project manager Nadine Kanhai. "Elite's reputation is amazing! With names like Gisele Bundchen, Cindy Crawford, Stéphanie Seymour, Brooke Shields, Naomi Campbell, Iman, Claudia Schiffer, Linda Evangelista and Tatjana Patitz amongst others; it is evident that there is real potential for success and income generation in international markets through Elite."

Elite Model Look Caribbean Trinidad and Tobago was launched at the Hyatt Regency Trinidad on June 9 in the presence of fashion icons, Caribbean media and leading personalities.

The project will scout nine Caribbean territories and select approximately 22 girls to participate in one regional finale to be held this November in Trinidad and Tobago.

The three top finalists will receive an all-expenses paid trip to participate in the Elite Model Look World Finals this December 6 in Shanghai, China.

There, they will compete for TT$2 million in modelling contracts with Elite Model Management.

Interested persons can contact 628-9707, e-mail or visit the Elite Model Look Caribbean T&T fan page on Facebook.
