    Dishwashers

dishwasher machines how yall feel about them?

I feel they create more work than its worth.

IMO its only useful on occasions like thanksgiving but regular day to day... its a drag

    anybody agree?

Yup. The time you take to run items under water before placing them in the dwasher, just take up soap and rag/sponge and complete the process.

I agree with you. I use mine as a dish rack. I hand wash my dishes and place them in the dishwasher to dry/drain. Or if I need to sterilize my dishes I use the dishwasher.

The time it takes to rinse the dishes before you put them in there,...why not just wash the darn thing.

Def disagree...well except when you have family members that don't check to see if the dishes in there are clean or dirty and add dirty dishes to a load that's already washed

The one household chore I enjoy doing doing is washing dishes so, I really do not use a dishwasher. I only have about 4 bowls, 4 plates, 4 smaller plates, 6 big glasses, 4 small glasses, 3 plastic plates, 3 plastic cups, 4 knifes, forks, spoon so I can't wait for the dishwasher to get filled in order to run it.

I will murder a person who put a dirty dishes in my dishwasher... I've been side eyed for that so many times but I don't care. Anything that goes in there has to go in clean.

see i find it does start another chore conflict since its something that needs to be done constantly

    dirty or clean load
if clean who gonna unload so all the dirty in the sink can go in?

dishes r piled up and b/c there is a diswasher there is no drying rack... so what happens

It goes smoothly when the clean dishes are unloaded and put away immediately..(my rule is no dishes go in the sink; I've always hated seeing dishes in the sink for any amt of time, got that from my mom..so when I had no washer, things where hand washed immediately) then when ppl are done w/ dishes they can go straight into the washer. Works well except when I'm not home or free to monitor the situation.

A dishwasher was one of de best kitchen invention eh...i have a big family and I wash too much dishes in my lifetime to still be doing dishes...everything goes in there except anything marked as handwash only....it is not tedious for my household but like BD say save the only time i would forget that hubby said he ran it in the morning and come home and add dirty to it

I can't leave without a dishwasher at all...

anyone knows if dishwashers use less water, less energy... they were actually touted as being a resource saver early on in the creation?
