if they are chrome rims... you can use wax, the same type that you use to wax the car.

Ok my dear, the solution to your prob is to go to autozone and look or ask for a product called purple power, is a purple liquid that gets out any stain on rims, upholstry, and on your car itself, i been using it since 98. Had a 92 max with weathering from the years of rain and i used it on the car itself and after a few washes the buildup was totally gone.
My 04 max that i got now, i wash the rims like 3 times a week kuz i always want them to look factory new and no matter what stain i encounter it cuts straight through it. They also sell a brush that looks like a tear drop goin into the handle just for in between the rims itself.
if you need more info feel free to pm me i would be glad to help, is nice to see a woman into her car like that.

    here's a little secret . . .

apply a light sheen of PAM spray on your rims once they are clean . . . it prevents them from getting dirty so quick, repelling oil and dirt.
