On Christianity

LAST EDITED ON Sep-16-01 AT 11:59 AM (EST)[p]Whether you call yourself Baptist, Protestant, Jehovah Witness, Catholic, Anglican, non-demoninational, or anything else "christian", the only thing that matters is if your are FOLLOWING the bible. The only thing that Jesus ever wanted on this earth is for people to be FOLLOWERS of Christ, aka, "DISCIPLES". (Does anyone in this room know that the word "christian" only appeared in the bible 3 times, used as a derogatory word to slanders those "followers of Christ, those "christians", the word "disciple" appears 270 times, meditate on that and read Acts 11:26 and see if there is any difference biblically in the 2 words).

INSTEAD OF GOING TO CHURCH AND THINKING THAT THE PERSON WHO IS SPEAKING AT THE CHURCH IS HOLY AND GODLIKE, WHY DON'T PEOPLE JUST READ THE BIBLE and HOLD to it's teachings. READ THE GOSPELS AND UNDERSTAND WHAT JESUS WANTED FOR EACH AND EVERY ONE OF OUR LIVES. Read the new testament and find out exactly what sin is and how to overcome it. Read revelation to find out what has happened and what will. Read the old testament to find out creation, God's love for his chosen people, and to find out how EVERY prophesy (no not like those false NOSTRADAMUS EMAILS) was
was fulfilled!!!!!!!!!

Read this: John 8:31-32, Matthew 28:18-20, Jeremiah 29:11-13, Acts 2:1-42 <----very important, Acts 17: 23-27, Romans 3:23-26, Romans 10: 9, Romans 10:14, Mark 16:16, Colossians 2:11-12, Acts 22:19, Acts 17:10-12, 1 Peter 3:19-22, Revelations 21:6-8, Galatians 5:19-20, and the whole book of Ecclesiastes.

If you are a "christian", why wouldn't you read this? Read all these things. The only thing that matters in life is YOUR relationship with God, not your pastors, ministers, or anyone else, cuz when you stand before him (like everyone on the plane that crashed into the building, as soon as they crashed, they stood before God and their lives were judged, based on the bible) the only thing that will ever matter is how you held to God's teachings.

If God really did send his Son to Earth, and you accept that he died for your sins, your personal sins that you commit every day, then why not live for Him? People slander religion and the bible, but hardly ever read the whole thing, just read it and don't listen to what people say, the bible has remained the same since it's creation (do research on it and don't depend on "my" wisdom) and it will remain the same before this tragedy and after, so read it.
