    Pop is what's taking over.

There is no more Hip-hop or RnB.

This is not Pop mixed with R&B. It's Electro/House music. This is the current sound that's taking over Pop music right now.

I don't think you can really credit the Black Eyed Peas solely for this movement in the States. It's been a long way coming. Will.I.Am in a lot of ways was and is still merely mimicking the House Djs in Europe. But those Djs were only mimicking the djs that played house music (modern disco) at discothèques frequented by gay men of color here in the States how many decades ago. And that's a brief history lesson for you all.

I believe the movement should more so be credited to David Guetta. He may not have started but he has taken it to another level in popularity. I believe the term for this type of music was coined "electro hop"
