    Caribbean/West Indian Demographics

Can anyone tell me where I can find demographics of Caribbeans/West Indians (since I still don't know what to call us) online. I am doing some research and need to know about their buying habits, average income, age, etc.

[updated:LAST EDITED ON May-16-02 AT 11:36 AM (EST)]You want statistics as a group or by country?
I honestly don't think that you will be able to find an accurate breakdown as a group. The best you can do is get the individual country stats and average them.

I was also wondering if you were talking about the habits here or abroad? If you are looking for the habits of Caribbean people in North America/US, I would suggest the Census Bureau. Again as a group, we have yet to be really defined so getting accurate information may be touch and go.

oh i see...this may be a stupid question, but have you checked the public library? or better yet, a university library...maybe students have done similar papers in the past, and though the info may not be current, you can at least refer to their bibliographies.
