Thumbs up Caribbean artistes do Motown Tribute

barbados' own vita, hal and shontelle and guyanese descent melanie fiona did a half time motown tribute at a thanksgiving game today.

awesome and a well executed tribute to motown greats.

@hal linton, CUT THAT HAIR. bajans are not supposed to look scruffy.

so how u wanted it to be? because of the dancers on the field? lol.

it is part of the entertainment.

i thought it was a well executed tribute. everything flowed really well from one artist to the next.

didn't like vita's performance, missed shontelle and hal, and loved melanie's performance. vita needed another song because she couldn't carry Heat Wave, sorry BFL.

ETA: Leave Hal alone about his hair, but he did a good job.

she was asked to put her own spin on that song. she is a pop rock singer and i felt she put a little too much pop rock influence in the heat wave performance. i was laffin at that part but she did good. this was her first big performance on tv.

melanie is a really good singer though.

I guess maybe since that's all that played at family cook outs (Motown), but yeah she needed to do "Dancing in the Street" if they wanted her to put her spin on something (since that's been done pop/rock). Who the fart are those Sickest Kids Ever or whatever the heck the name of the group? Shontelle would have been a better fit for "Heat Wave," but that's just my opinion.

They all did really good...great way to start off Independence weekend

It's the first time I am hearing Vita's voice. She seems really confident for a 15/16 year old performing on a stage like this for the first time.

I liked that tribute a lot. Spranga, stop being a hater.

@Jaze, ur right, Vita voice couldn't handle Heatwave. that song is for someone with a booming voice like JHud or Fantasia.

@BFL, u said RihRih playin the fool? U dissed ur queen? wow
