i dunno, but i was told this by someone- she went to the store and they told her thats how they are making them now that when you downloading a song onto your ipod it has to be the itune, their coding the software now.

Ras_A- if you paying $299 for an ipod that holds 15,000 songs, you mean to tell me u gonna spend $0.99 for each song.....steupz. you do the math.

If its available at a cheaper price, then i might as well get it for the cheaper, duhhhhhhhhh.

.99 a song is a fair price. it is definately cheaper than buying a cd. If you buy a cd chances are you will only like 5 songs on it...if that many unless its a greatest hits or compilation cd. The average cd costs about 13 bucks...which is about 2 or 3 bucks a song.

They should encode the system so that it wont read bootleg cds
or illegally downladed music. Just cause it holds 15,000 songs doesnt mean that you need 15,000 songs on it. get one that only hold 1000 songs and you should be fine

the recording industry was talking with MICROSOFT
in order to get them to do this to windows.
They are trying to nip P2P sharing downloads in the butt.
