    Being your own boss

How many of you have given being an entrepreneur any real thought?

What types of business would you be interested in starting?

What do you think keeps you from persuing that dream?

    me!!!

    >What types of business would you be interested in starting?

I want to own some type of "Women's Health Center" or "Woman/Child Health Center". Besides the obvious treating women and children (the whole obgyn/pediatrics/neonatal thing), I want to especially focus on education.

    >What do you think keeps you from persuing that dream?
Well I first have to get my RN liscense (which I might do in Florida, Trinbaje make room for me) and then get some hospital experience, then back to school for my Masters so I can own my own practice.

    wish me luck.....

What do you think keeps you from persuing that dream?

I started a partnership when I was in college with a couple of my childhood friend .. and it did not work out.. So over last couple of years I have tried to stable myself finacially.. so I can reorganize... I am at the point now where I could throw my hat back into the ring

    good topic iland

    >How many of you have given being an entrepreneur any real
    >thought?
    1. Fortunately I've been blessed a year ago with that spirit and have a few businesses I run.

    >What types of business would you be interested in starting?
    2. I already do private franchising start-up's and teach basic financial education.

    >What do you think keeps you from persuing that dream?
    3. Overall, I think every1's problem is laziness and that keeps them from their dreams. It takes hard work and determination to be successful, otherwise every1 will be working 9-5 the rest of their lives.

Everday, that is the only thing that pushes me to work everyday.I use my supervisors as teachers. I watch them to learn what works and doesn't work with their employees.

What types of business would you be interested in starting?
I want to open a chain of Preventive Health Care facilities in the Caribbean.

What do you think keeps you from persuing that dream?
Nothing, everything I do is for this dream.

    >How many of you have given being an entrepreneur any real
    >thought? I have from time to time, but especially now since my company has had a series of layoffs.
    >
    >What types of business would you be interested in starting? I have always been in the music industry, but I think I would try something different like either real estate, child care or a service business (faxing, completing legal forms like uncontested divorces, taxes, etc.)
    >
    >What do you think keeps you from persuing that dream? Fear of failure most of all, but also discipline. It is so much easier to work for someone else that for yourself. Not to mention I am very comfortable here at Sony Music. It's been seven years and I got great position and fringe benefits. But we'll see, I'm open to whatever the future brings.

    RE: Being your own boss

I just recently became my own boss and I'm excited about it!
My boyfriend and I have just started our own real estate development business.

I also plan to open clinics both in the US and Trinidad.
But honestly I desire to open my own boutique and sell only my own designs! SIGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
