    One of the main problems why NYC students have problems reading has to do with the way they learn English. In the Caribbean, English is taught as if it were a second language. They don't do that in North America, which is needed in areas where there is a high immigrant population and also a population that speak a variant of the lanuguage other than its standard form. The article didn't specify exacty what Barbados could teach the US, but if I could guess it would be the way English is taught there.

    Despite it is an old topic I have to want to add something. If you procrastinate on writing your college paper or essay try this website and this could probably help you. I used this once and never regret. Try to combine this and reading lessons. College papers are not that simple at all.
