    B.e.t

So school is on vacation and that channel is now unavailable to cable subscribers until the new school term (in SVG). I've been flipping through the channels thinking that the Cable provider is having problems again but just found out the real reason as to why this particular channel cannot be accessed. Now I don't miss it...BUT...what happens to those homes that are paying for all their channels that have no children in their homes?

the thing is...i'm a little peeved at the fact that they are exerting 'national control' in this way...parents should learn to control what goes on IN their homes...use the chanel block program on your remote...it's funny...they prohibit BET...yet the kids can be at home online surfing pornsites and watching late night movies that have the same effect when the parents are asleep...

you are assuming that the persons have the tv that can block channels.. and i have nothing against national control when it comes to the perserving of the young mind

my concern is this: if a 'group' makes a big enough noise then do take immediate action to satisfy that particular group? In this scenario, the parents were complaining...simple solution...when you apply for cable tell them to leave BET out of the line-up.

take this for example....at 1:30 sometimes 2a.m. the police would shut down the clubs/parties due to the fact that certain hotels or people in the area complain about the music...but what about those tat would have paid to get into the clubs in the first place?
