Anybody ever vacationed in Costa Rica?

Have you vacationed in Costa Rica?

-how many days/nights did you stay?
-where in costa rica did you stay?
-how far were you from main attractions?
-did you go on any excursions? how many?
-what type of transportation did you use?
-about how much did you spend for your entire trip?
    -would you go again?

what were the positives and negatives about your trip?

    that would be greatly appreciated!

my friend and i are looking to stay at riu palace or the regular riu resort (both all-inclusive) in guanacaste, but i read a few reviews saying that the riu palace is in a remote location. not sure how far the other riu is from the palace. i'd like to stay at a nice all-inclusive, but i don't want to be too far from the main attractions. le sigh...

I'll be staying in Tamarindo, San Jose, Manuel Antonio and La Fortuna.

Beaches, volcanos, hotsprings, wildlife and happy people. Limon is where the Afro-Caribbean people are. They are basically Jamaicans.

-what type of transportation did you use?

You should be good with $1000 for 6-8 days.

    -would you go again?
I'll only go once, but I'll make the best out of it.
