Am I the only Brit Imixer who cringes at an American's...

attempt to talk with a British accent?

Britney's Spears does it with Will.I.AM on her latest single Scream and Shout.

Don Cheadle does a "Cockney" in Ocean's 11 (more like "MOCKney")

Beyonce tried to do it when being interview by a TV presenter in the UK.

    Now...this guy!

You made me watch all of that shit for like three words? Steupsss.

The only thing cringeworthy about that is the Yanks' usual bullshit about their accent meaning something to people. I hate to hear most New Yorkers speak... the thing grates my ear.

That shuwah shit for "sure" makes me want to slap them.

What NY'ers say that? That sounding more like a Jersey accent.

He is Scottish although he speaks with an English accent. As a general rule, the farther North you go the more difficult to understand. So once you get to Liverpool, Manchester, Sunderland, Newcastle ---------> Glasgow, you need to angle your ear, lol.

But many of the inmates arent London born and raised. The ones from Liverpool and Newcastle are damn near incomprehensible

I was friends with a British guy in Jamaica who used to "speak like an American" all the time. It sounds strange and was annoying. But this doesn't bother me at all. I have enough worry about all of the people in the world who want to imitate the Jamaican accent.
