Cool All Our True Leaders ARE DEAD!!!

And that's why our communities are so f'd up.

There is no more wisdom or courage being demonstrated in standing up to institutions, ideas or behavior that is immoral, counter-productive or destructive.

We had so many leaders in the sixties that spoke for us and eloquated how the masses really felt. Real leaders are chosen by God.

Today, you can hardly even pay a politician or clergyman for that matter to speak up for the poor.

True leaders build people and empower those who are helpless.

We respect the dead--literally. Because none of the living have any real life in them.

At least on TV the youth can see the President of America of looks like them. He's not in the community like that, but he's on every channel....so he's alive and well.

That maybe true, but he doesn't really represent the issues that are impacting many of those youths.

For instance...the man lived in Hyde Park (on Chicago's south side) but has not even gone to the city to calm down or motivate the youths to stop the killing. He could stand with mayor Rahm Emmanuel together to send a very powerful message, but has anyone advised him to do this?

This is what I'm talking about. Too many leaders are cowards in the face of such travesties.

Do you know how many lives could be saved if someone would just act with some backbone?

I don't think the president himself will venture 4 blocks from the White House ,its too much of a security risk .But I think Obama has done his fair share to help Americans and especially the black minority, even though his work hasn't been extensive enough to some people's liking.

    No. He really hasn't.

He's too afraid of being viewed as "The Black President."

What more do you think he can do ?

I already heard what you said about coming to the Southside of the Chi-town,but don't forget they're many other black celebrities who never have and probably never visit there either.

Hence my point. Leaders MAKE A DIFFERENCE and show the way. They don't listen to the coward advice from advisors.

Celebrities aren't leaders. They represent a conglomerate.

When people make this statement; many just don't realize how belittling it is.

He should represent the country, but not ignore groups or areas that are being impacted in grievous ways.

White men almost destroyed this country; but Black people are suffering with the highest unemployment and home loss.

Since when can't we complain about that?
